The more shows that are built here or come here need quality talent. They need to be using our membership to bring their projects to life. Make the approval of foreign permits harder.

Make it ACTRA Toronto’s position to stop fake auditions that undermine its membership so the project can fly in the actor to play #8 on the call sheet. Give the production top 2 cast positions , after that to shoot here it must go to our membership.

It’s insulting to both of us.

Change needs to happen for an organism to survive. Fresh, new, bold action needs to be made in order for our industry to remain strong. We need to embrace how marketing & entertainment are consumed and a council that pushes for this new collaboration.

The membership hurdles need to dismantled.

We want to be a strong Alliance, then we need a very simple path to entry. 1 Role + 1 robust entry fee = 1 strong alliance that has terrific benefits, retirement, and investment in the memberships future.

A performer that wants to be a part of ACTRA will put up the funds to join. Make it a single credit to get in and stop this course of apprenticeship that fails to partner them with a full member to learn the mastery of the trade.
